Crocus Planting in Broomcroft Park
The Rotary Club of Marlborough and Pewsey Parish Council have planted 100s of crocus bulbs on the bank in Broomcroft Park. The Rotary Crocus is one of the leading international fundraisers for the End Polio Now campaign, in conjunction with the Royal Horticultural Society. This year the club decided to plant 5000 bulbs throughout the area, a task ably led by Jack Torrens and closely supported by other Rotarians and local councillors. This is a brilliant added bonus to the park as apart from it being an early flowering of colour, it will have the added bonus of providing early spring foliage for emerging bees.
